Grove Party
"Blast From The Past 2010"
has come and gone and is now truly a 'blast from the past'.
For all the attendees and donors we sincerely thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind generosity.
Blast 2010 was the most financially successful event to date.
Special thanks to all donors. Some weren't in attendance, and some, donated over and above the ticket price. Scroll up on the left of your screen, and click on "Donors" for a partial list.
Our special thanks to the winners of the two 50/50 raffles, Noreen Hetman Wright '64 and Maureen McLaughlin Aikens '72 that donated back money to Operation Stars and Stripes from their winnings.

Special thanks to Ken Rumph for organizing the food and drink operation. 'Well Done' again this year. Sorry to all for the warm beer due to a malfunction of the cooler truck provided by the beer distributor. It was out of Ken's control.

Thanks to Jeff Aganoth for his superb DJ expertise. We really appreciate the good job. The music choice and volume was perfect. Great act Jeff.

Special thanks to Ruth Bernhardt Kuehll and Noreen Hetman Wright for pushing the ticket sales for the 50/50 raffles. We appreciate the enthusiastic attitude.

Operation Stars and Stripes, the Blast's sole recipient of all proceeds after costs, sends health and welfare items to the troops in harm’s way, was handsomely rewarded. Your generosity will go a long way in Meredith Hay Kelly's '68 passion for seven years that has sent tons of care packages to our troops.
If you missed this year’s Blast, simply click on this link to Meredith's site www.operationstars.com to donate to this worthy cause.
Everyone should know that our warrior, Meredith, has been diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. There is no cure for this insidious disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. There is progressive loss of ability to function or care for oneself. Death often occurs within 3 to 5 years of diagnosis. Please help keep her dream alive.
Please also note that Meredith has been chosen as the RBHS Alumni Achievement Award for 2010 for her all consuming unselfish patriotism and devotion to her dear troops overseas in many theaters of operation especially, to those in a combat situation.
Again our many thanks to all that donated their time and money to this worthy cause.
If we forgot anyone, we're sorry but extend our heart felt gratitude. We are getting old, and CRS seems to creep into life after 60!
The Committee is actively seeking some of the younger generation to take over this event to continue the legacy and its purpose. We will help out during the transition.
Call or E-mail us if you’re interested.
It was a special treat watching everyone laughing and having such a great time.
"Happy Trails To You Until We Meet Again"
Sincerely
THE RBHS BLAST COMMITTEE

All extra proceeds were donated to
RBHS "Blast From The Past" sole charitable, non-profit organization recipient:
"Operation Stars and Stripes"
chaired and run by:

Meredith donates a tremendous amount of her time and effort to help support the health and welfare of our troops in the field in various theaters of operation around the world, by providing comfort items to help ease the pain of separation experienced by all troops, especially in a hostile environment.
Additional donations are accepted on this website or OSS website at www.operationstars.com
Please be generous!
